The book of eli is a post-apocalyptic tale, in which a lone man (Denzel Washington), fights his way across America in order to protect a sacred book that holds the secrets to saving humankind.

Movie Trivia: Kristen Stewart turned down Mila Kunis’s role due to scheduling conflicts with The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009).

Gary Oldman plays the film’s villain, a “despot of a small and pathetic town,” who’s determined to take possession of the book Eli’s guarding and Ray Stevenson stars as an enforcer sent to kill Eli.
